The Well-Being Grants to Support Farming Communities will provide small to large grants of between $1,000 (ex GST) and $50,000 (ex GST) to organisations and community-led initiatives that will help support the mental health, long-term well-being and resilience of farming communities.
They are funding these grants through the Federal Government’s Empowering their Communities initiative, which aims to help farmers, families and communities deal with the uncertainty, stress and anxiety of drought conditions.
Significant parts of their region have been identified as being impacted by drought and the objective of these grants is to support organisations and community-led initiatives which will promote individual and community resilience and help reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.
There are three levels of grants available:
Small: up to $2,500 (ex GST)
Medium: $2,501 – $10,000 (ex GST)
Large: $10,001 – $50,000 (ex GST)
Round 5 opens: 30 January 2019
Round 5 closes: 28 February 2020
