Queensland Community Foundation Organisational Capacity Building Grants

The QCF Organisational Capacity Building Grants assist charities to develop their structures, systems, people, and skills to deliver improved outcomes for their community.

Without limiting the meaning of capacity building as described above, projects can include:

• education and training,
• impact assessment,
• market sounding,
• recruitment and recognition of volunteers,
• information technology support systems,
• planning and governance (strategic plans, constitution reviews or board appraisals.

The General Fund 2023 grant program supports organisational capacity building of mid-tier organisations with projects that strengthen community through collaboration. Organisations are encouraged to work with other like-minded organisations and charities who are delivering similar projects to support the community more efficiently.

Grants are available up to a maximum of $25,000 per individual grant. By submitting a joint application there is an opportunity to receive up to $60,000 per joint application.

WHO CAN APPLY

All organisations who apply must be:

1. Queensland based, providing a service to local communities.
2. Endorsed by the Australian Tax Office as Item 1 Deductible Gift Recipients (DGRs).
3. Mid-tier (annual revenue up to a maximum of $10M per individual applicant).
