Greatest Good is a social enterprise connecting conscious consumers with for-purpose organisations (social enterprises, community groups, co-ops and mutuals, charities and other not-for-profits, B Corps) for the greatest good. Their vision is to simultaneously grow the for-purpose sector and build a community willing to collectively tackle social and environmental problems.
They believe that people want to support organisations that are aligned with their values. But there’s no easy way to find the organisations that put purpose ahead of, or equal to, profit. So, they have created a platform to find the for-purpose organisations tackling social and environmental change.
Greatest Good has created a range of memberships to suit the budgets and service offerings of for-purpose organisations. They have a directory, community and marketplace offering. The platform that helps conscious consumers to find, engage with, and support for-purpose organisations aligned with their values.
Consumers choose the values that are important to them (UN SDGs, impact areas, location, etc) and get shown the for-purpose organisations that meet these values. Consumers then decide how they you want to engage with and support you. This includes shopping, donating (DGR1 only), attending courses and events, applying for paid and volunteer jobs, and collaborations.
It’s a one-stop platform for consumers and for-purpose organisations alike. Their aim is to be the White Pages, eBay, Seek, Eventbrite and more for for-purpose organisations. The Greatest Good platform was co-designed with consumers, for-purpose organisations and service providers to the for-purpose sector. There’s also a service provider directory, as well as a grants directory that helps you find relevant grants in seconds, not hours.
