The Fortescue Community Grants Program provides funding for local organisations, projects and programs that provide a benefit to people in Pilbara communities. Grants of up to $5,000 (GST exclusive) are available for eligible projects that support community initiatives within the council boundaries of the Town of Port Hedland, City of Karratha, Shire of Ashburton and Shire of East Pilbara.
Fortescue Community Grants are just one way they are investing in projects, groups and initiatives that have a positive impact on their Pilbara communities.
Small grants are available to eligible applicants to support community projects within the Town of Port Hedland, Shire of East Pilbara, Shire of Ashburton and City of Karratha.
At Fortescue, they believe their community investments are much more meaningful when they proactively identify and develop projects with community partners whose values and program objectives are aligned with them.
Their focus is on community projects which embrace:
• Education and training
• Improving quality of life
• Encouraging healthy living
• Indigenous capacity building
• Empowering community members and leaders
• Encouraging community involvement
• Opportunities and development for children and youth
• Connecting residents to their community
• Community safety
• Environmental responsibility
Grants are not paid retrospectively, therefore ensure you get in touch with them ahead of the event or before the project is completed.
