Drawing together a diverse range of delegates from across Australia and New Zealand, the Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability (ACTS) annual conference is the longest running event developed for the higher education sector in their region. As the conference approaches its 20th anniversary, it continues to be upheld as the premier platform for collaborative learning, transformative thinking, and networking for professionals, students and cross-sector partners working in all areas of sustainability.
In 2019 they focus on the need for the higher education sector to expand their impact. By moving beyond just creating sustainable campuses and curricula, institutions can realise their unique potential to champion sustainable development and shape a motived generation of leaders with the skills to tackle the critical environmental, economic and socio-political challenges they face today. They must recognise the urgency of these challenges and strengthen their contributions to becoming global leaders working towards a sustainable future.
Sustainability practitioners and educators, students, researchers, decision-makers, business partners, nonprofit representatives, government officials, and community members all have an important part to play. Join them at The University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand from November 13–15 to be part of the movement and expand your impact!
