The BBVA Foundation Awards for Biodiversity Conservation are an expression of the BBVA Group’s social responsibility engagement with protecting the environment. Their goal is to publicly recognise the work done by conservationist organisations, institutions and agencies in carrying forward environmental conservation policies and projects, and the efforts of communication professionals who have placed their abilities at the service of protecting our natural heritage.
Honors, as such, go to two complementary sets of activities:
– Projects, policies and/or activities that contribute outstandingly to the conservation and protection of habitats, species.
– Dissemination of environmental knowledge and raising of social awareness around the value of conserving the natural environment.
The Foundation’s purpose in issuing this call is to recognise and reward the work done by conservationist organisations, institutions and agencies in carrying forward environmental conservation policies and projects, and the efforts of communication professionals who have placed their abilities at the service of protecting our natural heritage.
